|Dr Glyn Williams (m)|
MB, BS, MA, FRCGP, DRCOG, DFFP
Dr Williams qualified in medicine at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London in 1990.
After completion of his house jobs in London, Dr Williams spent a further three years on specialist attachments and in general practice in Frimley, Surrey. During this specialist training Dr Williams achieved post-graduate qualifications in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Family Planning and membership of the Royal College of general Practitioners. Dr Williams joined Westcourt Medical Centre after moving to Rustington in 1994.
He has a special interest in medical education and completed an MA in Clinical Education at Brighton and Sussex University in 2008, which he passed with a distinction. He was formerly the Associate GP Dean for West Sussex, responsible for the quality assurance of postgraduate GP education across the county, and training other GPs to become GP educators themselves. He now is a GP Trainer, supervising the GP Registrars working for Westcourt Medical Centre.
Dr Williams enjoys all aspects of general practice, taking a special interest in family medicine, hypertension, heart disease and diabetes. He is the GP lead for Cardiology/Hypertension and Dementia at Westcourt Medical Centre.
Dr Williams is the CQC Registered Manager for the practice, and also holds the position of 'Clinical Lead for Primary Care Development and Transformation' at Coastal West Sussex CCG.
He is a keen windsurfer and mountain biker, making the most of the natural amenities of the Sussex coast. He is married with two children.
Dr Williams works Mondays, Wednesday mornings, Thursday mornings and Fridays.
|Dr Emma Tilley (f)|
MB, BS DCH DRCOG FP Cert, Diploma in Clinical Dermatology
Dr Tilley qualified from St Bartholomew's Hospital, London in 1988.
Dr Tilley joined Westcourt Medical Centre in 1995, having previously worked in Worcestershire as a medical registrar in Cardiology and Diabetes. Dr Tilley undertook her general practice training in Gloucestershire and achieved post-graduate qualifications in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Family Planning and Child Health.
Dr Tilley's medical interests include Diabetes, Paediatrics and Preventative Medicine. She also has a special interest in Dermatology, having obtained a Diploma in Clinical Dermatology at London University in 2007. Dr Tilley is the GP lead for Diabetes at the practice, and also a GP Trainer, supervising the GP Registrars working for Westcourt Medical Centre.
Besides spending time with her family, Dr Tilley enjoys the theatre, skiing and National Hunt horse racing.
Dr Tilly works Monday afternoons, Tuesday mornings, Thursdays and alternate Friday mornings.
|Dr Greg Middleton (m)|
MBChB, MRCGP, DCH
Dr Middleton qualified at the University of Orange Free State, South Africa in 1995
After completion of his house jobs in Bloemfontein, he spent a further four years on specialist and general practice attachments in Sutton Coldfield and Worthing. During this time Dr Middleton achieved a post-graduate qualification in Child Health (Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health). He joined Westcourt Medical Centre in 2001.
In 2006 he started supervising Foundation Year Two doctors attached to the medical centre. He passed the requirements for Membership by assessment of Performance and achieved Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2010. He is now a GP Trainer, supervising the GP Registrars working for Westcourt Medical Centre.
Dr Middleton is the GP lead for Asthma, COPD and Depression at the practice, and is also the Safeguarding Lead, Caldicott Guardian and GMS (General Medical Services) Lead.
He is married with two children and his interests include mountain biking and hockey.
Dr Middleton works Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Friday mornings.
|Dr Elke Van Diest (f)|
Dr Van Diest qualified at the University of Ghent, Belgium in 1998.
After completing her general practice training Dr Van Diest gained a post-graduate diploma in tropical medicine and worked in Accident and Emergency departments of hospitals in both Belgium and Australia. She joined Westcourt Medical Centre in 2003.
Dr Van Diest is the GP lead for Cancer and Contraception in the practice, as well as Partner lead for Frailty.
She is married with two children.
Dr Van Diest works Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Friday mornings.
|Dr Rosie Ezewuzie (f)|
MB, BS, MRCGP
Dr Ezewuzie qualified at Guys, Kings and St Thomas' in London. Since completing her training, she moved down to the south coast, and spent 5 years completing specialist and GP attachments in Brighton, Worthing, and finally in Rustington.
She has completed post-graduate qualifications in family planning, and has membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Dr Ezewuzie joined the practice in 2011.
Dr Ezewuzie is a GP lead in Audiology, Contraception, Diabetes and Learning Difficulties at the practice, as well as Partner lead in Prescribing.
She enjoys photography and travelling.
Dr Ezewuzie works Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
|Dr Nicola Torry (f)|
MB, BS, MRCGP, MA
Dr Torry qualified as a doctor at the Royal Free and University College London in 2006. She then completed house jobs in Haywards Heath and Brighton and worked in general medicine and casualty in Redhill, before moving back to Mid Sussex to complete her GP training. This involved placements in obstetrics, gynaecology, psychiatry, orthopaedics and ENT. Dr Torry has a BA in pharmacology from Cambridge and a Diploma of the Faculty of Reproductive and Sexual Health. She enjoys all aspects of general practice but especially ENT.
Dr Torry is GP lead for Chronic Kidney Disease at the practice. She has a level 2 certificate in British Sign Language (BSL).
Outside of work Dr Torry plays hockey, clarinet and enjoys trying to keep fit.
Dr Torry works Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
|Dr Natalie Hogg (f)|
Dr Hogg qualified from Brighton and Sussex Medical School. She has since stayed local, working in Brighton and Worthing as part of her post-graduate training. Her training included working in A&E, paediatrics, obstetrics, gynaecology and gastroenterology. Prior to medical school she attended Southampton University and completed a BSc in Biomedical Science. Initially Dr Hogg was placed in Westcourt as part of her GP training but she enjoyed it so much she decided to stay!
Outside of work she enjoys photography, travelling and swimming.
Dr Hogg works Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
|Dr Lidia Machado (f)|
On maternity leave until December 2018
BM, BSc, DRCOG, MRCGP
Dr Machado qualified from Southampton University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Intercalated BSc in Biomedical Sciences.
After completing her foundation years in Bournemouth, she moved to Sussex where she has spent three years carrying out her general practice training. This included attachments in Accident and Emergency Medicine, Elderly Care, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Psychiatry, General Medicine and General Practice. She thoroughly enjoyed her training at Westcourt and has decided to stay on.
Dr Machado lives locally with her husband and outside of work she enjoys the theatre, travelling and spending time with her family.
Dr Machado works Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
|Dr Peter Davies (m)|
BSc, MBBS, DRCOG, MRCGP
Peter studied postgraduate medicine in Newcastle before moving to
the south coast to be nearer family. He completed GP training in the Worthing region, including a year at Westcourt.
In his spare time, Peter enjoys playing guitar, coastal walks with family and supporting Arsenal FC. He and his wife welcomed a baby daughter to their family in 2017.
Dr Davies works Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
As we are a training practice, we will also have a number of junior doctors undergoing training to become a GP.
They will have had experience of a variety of hospital posts, having been qualified as a doctor for at least two years before coming into general practice.
